Virginia Clements enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. The 83-year-old retired homemaker also loved picking fruit from her orchard and spending time with her little dog, Bridget.

GORHAM - Virginia Fay Stone Clements, 83, died at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007, in Gorham.

She was born May 19, 1923, in Herrin to Earl Davis and Ella (Lane) Davis.

Survivors include her children, Larry Stone of Little Elm, Texas, Donald Stone of Little Elm, Texas, Brenda Buchman of Dalton, N.H., Bob Stone of Gorham, Sara Mifflin of Murphysboro, Beth King-Stilley of Benton and Albert Stone of Murphysboro; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Rozmislowicz of Coffen, Lillian Cox of Murphysboro and Sue Heins of Du Quoin; three brothers, Leroy Hardwig of Murphysboro, George Stanton of Haywood, Calif., and Donnie Stanton of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Henry Lee Stone Jr.; a daughter, Linda Mae Misselhorn; two brothers, Earl Davis and Delmar Stanton; and two husbands, Henry L. Stone and Charles Clements.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

There will be private family memorial services at a later date.

Wilson Funeral Home in Ava is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Love Fund for Bob.
