Mrs. Caroline E. Pumphrey, 84, 110 E. Market, Washington Court House, Ohio, died Sunday at 7:55 p.m. at the Washington Court House Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a resident the past few months, since her health had failed.

Mrs. Pumphrey was born in Indiana and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Washington Court House, the Washington Court House Country Club, the Paul H. Heghey American Legion, and the Eastern Star in Washington Court House.

Her husband, Dr. Irvin L. Pumphrey, preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1964. She had resided in Washington Court House since 1924. She is survived by one brother, Fielding Wohrer, Chicago, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.

The services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. and the Gilliland-Howe Fuenral Home with the Rev. F. William Clemenson officiating and with entombment in the South Park Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
