Aubrey Hamilton Richey, 82, of Manassas, VA died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA.
Mr. Richey was born August 3, 1919 in Nokesville, VA, the son of the late William Strator and Pearl Hamilton Davis Richey. He was employed with Birmingham Dairy which became Shenandoah Pride Dairy and retired in 1976 with over 20 years of service and was the co-founder and co-owner of Richey's Flower Shop in Manassas. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II with a tour in France. Mr. Richey was a charter member and first treasurer of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Manassas and a member of the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Naomi Mae Richey, five children, Joanne Hamilton Lunceford and her husband, Larry of Centreville, VA, Jim Richey, of Manassas, VA, Donald V. Richey and his wife, Pamela, of Brentsville, VA, Aubrey Scott Richey and his wife, Connie of Woodstock, VA and Donna Suzanne Musselman and her husband, Ron of Manassas, VA and two sisters, Ruby Stewart, of Portland, Maine and Sylvia Detwiler, of Manassas, VA. Also surviving are 7 granddaughters, 7 grandsons and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2002 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas where funeral services will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, April 15, 2002 with Rev. Carol Bookwalter officiating. Interment to follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
