Last rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Carroll-Wallace Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. J.O. Hilliard, 87, longtime Beaumonter and widow of the late J.O. Hilliard. Mrs. Hilliard died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday in Hotel Dieu. She resided at 2190 Neches. The Rev. Kenneth Thorne, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery. A native of Liberty County, Tex., Mrs. Hilliard was a member of the First Christian Church and was for a number of years deaconess in the church. She was a member of the Shrigley Sunday School class of the church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank A. Douglas and Mrs. Wilbert A. Tuttle, both of Beaumont; two sons, Clyde Hilliard of Beaumont and Cecil O. Hilliard of Houston; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
