Cameron- Mary Lois Doxey, 82, passed away June 20, 2012 in a local hospital.
She was born in Lake Charles and lived in Cameron most all her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who spent most all her time looking after and taking care of her loving family.
She is survived by her husband, William "Billy" Doxey of Cameron; sons, James Albarado and wife, Nedith of Lake Charles, William "W.C." Doxey and wife Bonita of Pitkin, Davy Doxey and wife, Laura of Cameron, Bobby Doxey and wife, Phyllis of Grand Lake and Ruben Doxey of Cameron; daughter, Mary Palmer and husband, Douglas of Andalusia, AL; sister, Sally Doucet of Welsh; grandchildren, Billy Joe Albarado, Shelly Neff, Kevin Doxey, Tina Begnaud, Seth Nolan, Wesley Doxey, Arron Doxey, Barrett Doxey, Kent Doxey, Sybil Doxey, Ashley Doxey, Alex Doxey, Adam Doxey, Robyn Doxey, Brian Doxey, Marcus Doxey, Walter Palmer, Daniel Palmer, and Suzan Palmer; great grandchildren, Kristopher Albarado, Benjamin Neff, Faith Stokes, Hope Stokes, Charity Stokes, Sarah Grace Palmer, Connor Palmer, Karter Palmer, Ethan Doxey, Kamryn Nolan, Mason Doxey, Marie Begnaud, and Collin Doxey; great great grandchildren, Leslie Hooks, Harmony Hooks and Brianna Hooks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Agnes Berry and sister, Louana Pruitt.
Her service will be 10am, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Wakefield United Methodist Church in Cameron. The Rev. James Moore will officiate. Visitation will begin Friday 4pm-9pm at the church and resume Saturday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Doxey Cemetery in Grand Chenier under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
