He married Edra Reeder on November 21, 1952 in Murphysboro. She survives as well as a son, Joe Murray of Fort Myers, Florida and two stepsons, Sgt. Francis G. Snider with the U. S. Army and Rufus Hindman of Gorham.
Mr. Murray died at the age of 87 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro after a short illness.
