Mrs. Maudie Arlila Hanshew, age 93, of Frederick, died at Citizen's Care and Rehabilitation Center, Frederick. Mrs. Hanshew was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, and a homemaker. In addition to her own children, she raised her grandson Edward Shelton Sr., and her great-grandson Edward Shelton Jr.

Funeral services on June 20 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Keeney & Basford PA Funeral Home. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
