Zenas and his first wife Maude Barnes married in June during the summer of 1892. They were blessed with two sons, Edward T. and Eugene Adams. Sadley, Maude passed away in 1897. By June 1900 Zenas was widowed and resided with his maternal aunt Amelia (Loucks) Seckner Hastings in Little Falls. He was employed as a Teamster.
He married 2nd wife Harriett Sackett aka Hattie, the evening of December 8, 1903 in New York, by Rev. M. G. Seymour, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sackett on Otsego street. They made their home in Little Falls, NY where he was employeed by the Engineering and Electric Works.
By 1910 he worked at a machine shop as a machinest.
When his wife Hattie passed away in 1927, Zenas later married 3rd wife Clara Roulette on March 2, 1927. He was the step-father of Clara's son Dr. Wayne Roulette of Detroit, Michigan.
By 1930 his occupation was a machinest at a dairy plant.
At age 72 he retired from the Cherry-Burrell Corp. in Little Falls where he was considered an expert working in the pump department.
At the time of his death Zenas was survived by his wife Clara of Little Falls, son Eugene of Herkimer, and grandchildren Newell and Marian. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
The funeral was held at the Newitt Funeral Home in Little Falls. The Rev. Cyril T. Winkworth of the Methodist Church conducted the services. Interment at Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls.

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sackett in Otsego street at 4 o'clock last Evening took place the marriage of Miss Hattie Sackett and Zenas Adams, two popular young people of Little Falls. The Rev. M. G. Seymour performed the ceremony. They were attended by Miss Sarah Seckner as bridesmaid and Irving Castler best man. Immediately after the ceremony a wedding supper was served.
A number of the immediate friends and families were present. The groom is an employee of the Engineering and Electric Works at Little Falls. They will reside in Little Falls.
