Mrs. Bingman, who was formerly Mary Frances Alexander was born in Lowden county Virginia, Feb 3, 1848. She was married to Jacob F. Bingman Oct 12 1864 in Ohio, and moved to Henry County in 1874. In 1893 the family located on a farm in Bowling township and moved to Rock Island in 1913.Her husband preceded her in death in August 1914. She had been an active and earnest member of the Gloria Dei United Presbyterian church. Her departure will be greatly felt by the family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Belle Scaar of Rock Island; three sons, Alexander Bingman of Bowling and Freeman and Milton Bingman of Rock Island; a sister Mrs. Alta McCausland of Adrian Mo.; two brothers, David M. Alexander of Norcatur, Kas. and Andrew J. Alexander of Lenox, Iowa. Two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Three children preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the family residence and at 2 o'clock in the Gloria Dei Church. Rev. Charles G. Mann and Rev. A Campbell Bailey will conduct the services. Burial will be in Chippiannock cemetery.
