Suggested edit: Miranda Ball was the daughter of James Harvey Ball (1829-1929)and Rebecca Hess (1827-1872).

She was born in Lebanon Township, Russell County, Virginia on the 8th Nov 1865. She was the 6th of 8 children born to James and Rebecca.

Although the spelling of her name is Miranda on the grave marker, most of the time, she used Marinda. She married Samuel Patton Sullivan on 20th Jan 1883 in Russell County, Virginia. They had at least 11 children. Samuel died in 1913 and Marinda remarried to a man named Tiller. He died before 1920.

In 1920 she is living in Sand Lick, Virginia with two of her daughters, Myrtle and Mary Ann. She died on 17 Dec 1922. Her youngest son, Chris, was the informant on her death certificate. She is buried beside Samuel, her first husband in Sullivan Cemetery.
