They are living with Ila's father, Quinton I. Norris, a day laborer, age 51, born April 1849 in North Carolina; and her mother, Nancy C., age 47, born April 1853 in North Carolina. Quinton and Nancy had been married 25 years and had given birth to 10 children, of which 9 were still living. The 1930 Federal Census for Precinct 2, Texas (Grayson County) shows Ila B. Barlow, age 51, born in North Carolina; and her husband, John B. Barlow, a second hand in a cotton mill, age 51, born in North Carolina. Living with them was Ila's mother, Nancy Norris, a widow, age 76, born in North Carolina.

Ila died April 6, 1943 in Denison, Texas (Grayson County) and was buried there in the Oakwood Cemetery. Her husband, John, died July 17, 1963 in Denison and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery beside his wife.
