Mrs. Biersack was born in town of Kewaskum, WI on March 13, 1869, the oldest child of 12 children of Gerhard and Gertrude Heck Koenings. On May 21, 1889, she married Joseph Biersack, Sr and they had seven children. They settled on a farm in Barton, WI. Later they conducted a hotel and tavern in the village of Barton, WI. for several years. About 1928 they moved to their present home in West Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by a daughter Olive (Mrs. Robert Little) and a sister Julia (Mrs. John Mitter). She was a distinguished member of the married ladies society of St. Mary's Church in Barton.
