 WILLIAM RANKIN 2ND, 1748-1830, was born between 1748 - 1750 in Frederick County, Virginia, and died Bef. February 22, 1830 in Berkeley County, Virginia. He married REBECCA SUTTON July 27, 1782. She was born before 1754 in Frederick County, Virginia.. A Captain in Colonel Crawford's expedition against the Indians at Upper Sandusky, Ohio.This battle ended in the rout of the Americans and killed by the Indians. Burial: Mahnes Cemetery, Near Hancock, West Virginia
