Misty Lee Nanney, 28, of Pensacola, went Home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 13, 2006. Misty was born in St. George, UT on April 8, 1978 to Levi and Kathy Hancock. As a child of 10, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which she suffered with till the end.

Misty married David Nanney and had a son, David Jerimy Nanney. The couple later divorced and Misty met and was joined by her loving companion, Dennis Rogers.

Misty was full of love and life and a joy to be with. Dennis and herself enjoyed many "road trips" and visits to fun places together. It was during one of these trips in 2002 that Misty discovered the beautiful snow white beaches of the Emerald Coast in Pensacola and announced to Dennis "this is where I want to live and spend the rest of my life."

Misty and Dennis moved to Pensacola in April 2005 and the first thing she did was buy a fishing license. From that time on Misty, Dennis, and her son, D.J. enjoyed many happy days fishing, and camping and boating on the beaches, intercoastal, and in the Gulf.

Misty was infatuated by all the "critters in the area" and always wanted to catch and touch everthing, including sometimes the "sharks" that were caught while fishing.

Misty was like by everyone she met as Assistant Manager of the neighborhood convenience store, Misty knew and called everyone by their first name.

Survivors include; her parents; son, David "DJ" Nanney; and brother, J.J. Hancock all of St. George, UT.

Misty will be missed by her boss, Delight Simmonds, who she referred to as "Mom" Delight, as well as her best friend, Kristen, many friends and family members and especially by Dennis.
