H. W. MILLER DEAD

H. W. Miller died this morning at 7 o'clock at his home 17 Oak Street. Mr. Miller had been suffering with creeping paralysis for the past eight weeks, resulting in his death this morning. He came to Emporia in 1880, and for years conducted a tailor shop.

Harry Wise Miller was born May 27, 1834, in Staughberg, Pa. He was married in 1865 to Miss Elizabeth Birkinbine, who survives him. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and three daughters. They are Henry K. Miller, of Los Angeles, Calif., Jacob G. Miller, of Herington; Mrs. John Krall, of Lutz, Pa.; Mrs. Anna M. Heidema, of Elk City, Kan., and Mrs. Alice Reider, of Emporia.

Funeral services will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, and later at the Evangelical Church. The Rev. C. Brandt and the Rev. M. J. Steinmetz will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Maplewood Cemetery.
