Born July 6, 1911, in Elton, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Cyrus Goddard.
Mrs. Vandall was a nurse aid and LPN at Hinton Hospital for 22 years and was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death her husband, Ira H. Vandall Sr.; two sons, Ira Vandall Jr. and Dallas H. Vandall; a sister, Alice Richmond; and four brothers, Freddie, Frank, Ashby, and Herbert Goddard.
Survivors include a daughter, Mae Burgess of Pipestem; two daughters-in-law, Kitty Vandall of Hinton, and Minnie Vandall of Nimitz; a sister-in-law, Bertha Goddard of Hinton; eleven grandchildren, Doris Wheeler of Willowwood Road, Hinton, Deloris Worrells of Camp Creek, Becky Lowry of Forest Hill, Paula Wykle of Beckley, Angie Foster of Beckley, Donna Wheeler of Tenn., Sherri Weikle of Madams Creek, Jerry Vandall of Hinton, Tony Richmond of Forest Hill, Greg Vandall of Bellepoint, and Alan Vandall of Florida; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, her body was donated to the Human Gift Registry of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
A memorial service was held a 1 p.m. Saturday, August 12th at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with Minister Fred Dinkler officiating.
