She was born May 3, 1920 to Herman and Caroline (Ege) Mickelsen on Norse Point in Schroeder, Minnesota, where she grew up. Marion graduated from Grand Marais High School and married Roger McKeever on May 13, 1940 and was a homemaker through the years.
Marion was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte, the Harbor Mates, and the Sons of Norway Lodge, Duluth. She enjoyed baking, quilting, crocheting, knitting, sewing, working on family genealogy and several trips to Norway.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Roger; and brothers – Michael, Clarence and William.
Marion is survived by her son – Roger "Bill" (Marion) McKeever of Schroeder; sister – Elaine Miller of Duluth; grandsons – Kenneth and Donald (Tina) McKeever; great-grandchildren – Christopher McKeever, Austin McKeever, Marcus Hoops, Madysen McKeever and Masen McKeever; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Zoar Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Schroeder Cemetery at a later date.
