Chilton. — (Special) — Anton Stransky, 75, resident of this city for the past, 32 years, passed away at St. Agnes' hospital in Fond du Lac at 6:30 a. m. today. He had been ill three years, and was in the hospital six weeks.

He was born May 27, 1865, in Bohemia, and came to America at the age of 7. He located near Francis Creek where he learned the blacksmith trade. On Oct. 12 1886, he was married to Miss Mary Pankratz. They located at Gravesville where he had a blacksmith shop for 14 years. They then moved to a farm near Chilton, west of the fairgrounds, and for the past 11 years have lived in the city of Chilton.

Survivors are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Rose Berg, Appleton, Mrs. J. J. Walber, New Holstein, and Miss Amelia of Chicago, two sons, Joseph of Chilton, Fred of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert and Joseph of Francis Creek and Charles of Manitowoc. He was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer Funeral home from Friday morning until time of services Funeral services will probably be held Saturday morning at St Mary's Catholic church. The time of services will be printed in Friday’s paper.
