Mrs. George W. Peacock
ROME, Ga., May 23. -- Mrs. George W. Peacock, 84, mother of Albert R. Peacock and L. L. Peacock, of Rome, died Monday at her home in Rockmart, following a short illness. Mrs. Peacock lived in Rockmart, Polk County, practically all of her life. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday from the Rockmart Baptist Church, and interment was in the Rockmart Cemetery.
Besides her two sons, living in Rome, Mrs. Peacock is survived by Robert S. and John Peacock, of Atlanta; Dave, W. W., Oscar and Judd Peacock, of Rockmart, and Lewis Peacock, of Oklahoma City, Okla. (Atlanta Journal, May 23, 1934)

Mrs. P.G. Peacock, born 7/1/1850 in Spartanburg, S. C., has a CSA pension application and death certificate together on line in the GA archives virtual vault. Parents are listed as W. H. Wofford and Nancy Rogers. Burial of Mrs Peacock is listed in Rose Hill. She married G. W. Peacock on 16 Sept 1869. He served with Company A of the 18th Ga and died on 4 June 1916.
