Jimmy Lewis Atwell of Aberdeen died Tuesday, June 12 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 63. Born in Tazwell, VA he was the son of the late T. Lewis Atwell and Bonnie L. (Weitherow) Atwell.
Mr. Atwell retired after 39 years as a Driver and Salesman with Coors Lite Distributing Company in North East, MD. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 128 and Moose Lodge 1450. He enjoyed fishing, Keno, playing pool and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Atwell is survived by his wife of 40 years, Claudette "Cindy" C. (Devonshire) Atwell; daughters, Bonnie L. Atwell-Taylor and husband Kevin, of Belcamp, MD, Jennifer "JJ" Atwell, of Aberdeen, MD and Vickie "Puddin" L. Atwell-Marshall and husband Howard of Aberdeen, MD; 8 grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher, Jr., Alexus, Kasandra, Mikayla, Steven, Jr., Aarron, Emonee, a late grandson William, his great granddaughter Malia, and his pets, Fancy, Casper, and Benji.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 18 from 11am-1pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where funeral services conducted by Pastor Larry Tapscott will begin at 1pm. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
