Catherine was born the daughter of Cornelius Carmack and Guien [Gwin] Corem in Frederick County Maryland.

She married Daniel Richards, son of Edward Richards and Mary Head of Hampstead Maryland, of old Baltimore County [present Carrol County].

HISTORICAL NOTE:
Frederick County was created in 1748 from portions of Prince George's County.
