Terry Joe Gaston, went to be with his lord and savior on June 4, 2012, at Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was born September 1, 1962 in Salt Lake city, Utah to Alvin "Don" and Marjorie Leola (Baldwin) Gaston.

Terry went to school in Arkansas, Texas and Caney, graduating in 1980. He worked at different occupations, finally settling with Chesapeake Energy in Perryton, Texas as a construction supervisor in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle. He loved working there.

He is survived by his wife Valerie Gaston of the home; his parents, Alvin "Don' and Leola Gaston of rural Tyro; one brother, Jerry and his wife Beverly Gaston of Tyro; one sister, Beverly K. and husband Mike Freeman of Shawnee, OK; two nephews, Jeremy Gaston of Tyro, Justin and his wife Megan Gaston of Caney; one niece, Brooke Gaston of Tyro; two great nephews, Jacen and Jevin Gaston of Caney; and many friends in Christ and others throughout the area.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, with David Bycroft officiating. Burial will be in Fawn Creek Cemetery northeast of Tyro.

Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to American Heart Association; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
