SYCAMORE -- David Harvey Alexander, 73, Sycamore, died Dec. 20, 1981, at the Highland Hospital, Belvidere.

He was born Jan. 23, 1908, in Carrington, N.D. He was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers' Local 219 and had been retired since 1971. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1506 in Sycamore, of the Sycamore Elks B.P.O.E. 1392, and of the DeKalb Eagles.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jerold (Barbara Ann) Leifheit of Earlville, and Mrs. Cletus (Viola) March of Rockford; four brothers, Clarence of Dundee, and William Gail, and Pearcy, all of Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Pansy Thompson of Indiana; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Natta Funeral Home, with the Rev. C. Alfred Patten officiating. Entombment will be at the Elmwood Mausoleum in Sycamore. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
