Vivian L. Grube, 85, of rural Kiel died peacefully Friday afternoon June 15, 2012 at Sharon Richardson Community Hospice after a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1926 in Kiel, daughter of the late Fred and Alma (Dittmeyer) Ehnert. Vivian was a 1944 graduate of Kiel High School.

On July 20, 1946 Vivian married her soulmate and best friend, George Grube at First Presbyterian Church in Kiel. Together they raised their family and took great pride in their children and later their grandchildren. She was a bookkeeper for LaTec Credit Union for many years, which George was a co-founder of in 1962. She also assisted him in his garage construction business. George preceded her in death on November 4, 1993.

Vivian was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She took great pride in her home and enjoyed decorating and gardening. She especially loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Vivian was also involved with the Girl Scouts, she loved golfing, knitting, painting and being with her pets.

Survivors include her children; Georgia (James) Mangan, Newton, Guy (Mary Jo) Grube, Kiel, Kim (Diane) Grube, Kiel, Jan (Kathleen) Grube, Spring Lake. Eleven grandchildren; Kimberly (Dale) Kessler, Ryan (Michelle) Mangan, Kelli (David) Scott, Shawn (Stephany) Mangan, Eric, Bradley and Gregory Grube, Amanda Grube, Kristina Grube (Special friend Troy Olson), Paige and Alexander Grube. Five great grandchildren; Ashley and Vicki Kessler, Kaitlin, Hailey and Aubry Mangan. a brother-in-law, Robert Billman, sisters-in-law; Julie, Lois and Betty Grube.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, a son; John Charles, and a sister; Alyce (Harry) Ryan.

Funeral Services for Vivian will take place at 5:00 pm on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, 727 6th St. Kiel with the Rev. Cheryl LePak officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will follow at the Kiel City Cemetery.
