MRS. CHARLES TERRY DIES
Mrs. Charles E. (Rossae) Terry, a long-time resident of Emporia, died Monday afternoon in Newman Memorial County Hospital. Mrs. Terry had lived in recent years with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Terry, 831 Cottonwood Street.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. H. D. Benbow of Leavenworth, a former pastor of the Mount Olive A.M.E Church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Terry was born Dec. 24th, 1881, in Miami, Mo., and she was married on Sept. 19th, 1906, in Emporia. She was a member of the Mount Olive A.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Aug. 9th, 1954, and she is survived by three sons, Charles A., of Kansas City, Mo., Kenneth E., of Los Angeles, Calif., and Paul J., of Emporia; one daughter, Mrs. Joenne Hays, Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
