Charles Brunig, 63, of Branch, a town and school district officer in Manitowoc Rapids for many years, died Sunday night at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home. Burial will be in Branch Evergreen cemetery.
He was born on a farm near Branch in 1882 and in 1906 married Miss Sophia Benishek. He operated a farm since that time.
Mr. Brunig served 24 years on the Branch school board and was a town treasurer and supervisor of Manitowoc Rapids for several terms.
Survivors are his wife; son, Donald on the home farm; three daughters, Mrs. Roman Grall of Whitelaw, Mrs. Stephen Swetlik of route 1, Whitelaw, Mrs. Joseph Yohanek of route 2, Cato; brother, William of Mishicot; sister, Mrs. Louis Reus
of Chicago; and eight grandchildren.
