Mrs. Frank C. Stokes, 98, of Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with burial in Branch Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Catherine Duchac was born July 7, 1865, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Duchac. In 1883, she was married to Frank C. Stokes in the Town of Kossuth. They located on a farm near Kellnersville, later operated a store in the village and subsequently farmed at Branch until located on their present farm 50 years ago. Mr. Stokes Died in 1950. She had made her
home with a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marie Stokes.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ernest W. Dill Sr. of English Lake, four grand children, eight great grand children and two great great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
