FRANK STOKES (d. 1993)

Frank Stokes, age 82, of 830 N. 5th St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, October 25, 1993, at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 1993, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating the service will be Deacon William Klein with burial at Branch Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born April 15, 1911, at Branch, son of the late Emil and Camilla Shimek Stokes.
He attended Manitowoc County schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1929. He married the former Marie Chapel, January 3, 1942, at Manitowoc. Mr. Stokes
was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company, for 35 years, retiring May 1, 1976. Mr. Stokes enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Stokes, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Stokes, Kewaunee; one brother-in-law, Joseph Chapek, Sturgeon Bay; aunt, Luella Larson,
Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Apoline and a brother, Otto.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Wednesday morning until the time of service. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
