Chad Rose "Oppie" Hecker, age 22, of 7027 N. Union Road, Manitowoc, WI, entered eternal rest late Saturday evening, Aug. 5, 2006, surrounded by his family and many friends at the family residence. Chad was born Jan. 8, 1984, in Manitowoc, WI, the son of David V. and Theresa A. (Tulachka) Hecker.

David was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 2002.
He was employed with Spancrete, Inc. of Valders until the present time. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, trap shooting and also following the Milwaukee Brewers. Chad also had a great interest in farming and agriculture and a special interest in spending time with his nephew, Ethan.
Chad was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, the Branch Fire Department and Branch First Responders of which he was president, he was a member of the board of directors of the Branch Fire and Rescue, a member of the Schmidt's Horseshoeing Monday night summer trap shooting league in Whitelaw, and also the Clarks Mills winter trap shooting league shooting with the Spancrete Team.

Chad is survived by his parents: David and Theresa Hecker;
one brother: Scott Hecker and special friend: Nicole Heller, Manitowoc;
two sisters: Shelley Hecker, Two Rivers; Tina Hecker and special friend Jeff Petersen, Manitowoc;
his significant other: Heather Windus, Manitowoc;
paternal grandmother: Loretta Hecker, Manitowoc;
one nephew: Ethan Hecker;
aunts and uncles to include: Joanne (Carl) Taylor, Arkansas; David Tulachka, Kewaunee; Mary Ann (Rick) Klabunde, Two Rivers; Edward Tulachka, Kewaunee; Mark (Christy) Tulachka, Two Creeks; Robert Tulachka, Tisch Mills; Paul (Sandy) Tulachka, Tisch Mills; Barbara (Amos) Schleis, Norman; Jean Derenne, Mishicot; Betsy Tulacha, Francis Creek;
many cousins and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Earl Hecker; maternal grandparents: George and Bernice Tulachka;
one uncle: Arthur Tulachka.

Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. lead by Deacon Paul Kieffer followed by a memorial video tribute. Relatives and friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10:15.
Funeral services will be held 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel Felton with burial to follow at Branch Evergreen Cemetery, town of Manitowoc Rapids.
