GERMAINE KARBON

Germaine A. Karbon, age 78, of 2115 Cappaert Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday
morning, Oct. 18, 2005, at Harmony of Manitowoc West.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at
Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. The Rev.'s
Stephen Melso and Robert Kujawski will officiate with burial of her cremated
remains at Branch Evergreen Cemetery.
Germaine was born Oct. 1, 1927, in the town of Manitwooc Rapids, daughter of
the late Adolph and Verna Knuell Karbon. She was a 1946 graduate of Lincoln
High School, Manitowoc, and a 1948 graduate of American Beauty College in
Green Bay. Germaine was employed by Imperial Eastman, retiring in 1991. She
was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Manitowoc Senior
Center. Germaine enjoyed knitting and traveling to the cottage in Eagle River.
"Aunt Suke" is survived by: one brother and sister-in-law: Allen (Dolores)
Karbon, Manitowoc; one sister: Eunice Karbon, Rhinelander, and her special
friend: Les Smith; one special cousin: Doris (Ralph) Remiker, Manitowoc; 12
nieces and nephews: Lynn (Dale) Swetlik, Manitowoc; Gail (George) Carlson,
Waupun; Gary (Sharon) Vaughan, Kimberly; Holly Vaughan, Rhinelander; Suzi
(Mike) Perron, Sparta; Gordon (Julie) Vaughan, Fond du Lac; Scott Kasbaum,
Pleasant Prairie; Loretta Karbon, New York, N.Y.; Vernali Vaughan, Jamie
Vaughan and Jeni Vaughan, all of Rhinelander; David Karbon, Keshena; 12 great
nieces and great nephews; and other relatives and friends survive.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Gordon Karbon; one sister: Geraldine
Kasbaum; two sisters-in-law: Marge Karbon and Esther Karbon; two brothers-in-
law: Reuben Kasbaum and Richard Vaughan.
Relatives and friends may call at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church on
Saturday at the time of service at 11 a.m.
Memorials would be appreciated for Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Manitowoc is serving the Karbon
family.
