JOHN MEISNEST IS VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK
Former Member County Board Dies Friday Night; Funeral To Be Held Monday

John Meisnest, 73, father-in-law of Chairman George Kiel of the county board, and former member of the board from Manitowoc Rapids, died Friday night at the farm home a mile west of Branch.
The extreme heat this week so weekend Mr. Meisnest, who has not been in good health the past year that he succumbed to a heart attack early in the evening after being taken seriously ill after dinner Friday.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Pfeffer funeral home. Interment will be in the cemetery at Branch.
Mr. Meisnest was born in Manitowoc Rapids and spent his entire life on the farm. Forty-four years ago he married Miss Etta Brunig of Branch.
He served as a member of the town board in 1914 and 1915. The following year he was elected chairman and for seven years represented Manitowoc Rapids on the county board. He retired from the board in 1923.
Survivors are his widow; two sons, Erwin, on the home farm, and Walter, Port Washington; three daughters, Mrs. George Kiel, Franklin, Mrs. Fred Zoelk and Mrs. Lester Welson, both of Neenah; three brothers, Frank, Charles and George
Meisnest, all of this city; and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Bleser, Manitowoc Rapids, and Miss Lizzie Meisnest, city.
The body is at the Pfeffer funeral home and may be viewed from Sunday noon until the hour of the services Monday.
