MRS. MARY A. MARKLE
DIES IN NEW JERSEY;
FUNERAL ON SUNDAY

WEST NEWTON Aug. 2 - Mrs. A. Markle, widow of Captain Cassius C. Markle of West Newton died Thursday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. S. W. Jackson in Montclair, N.J. She had advanced one month in her ninetieth year.

Mrs Markle was born July 1, 1846 near West Overton, the daughter of the late Jacob S. and Mary Fox Overholt of Mount Pleasant township. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of West Newton for the past 70 years.

Surviving are two sons and three daughters; Cyrus P Markle, Greensburg, Thomas M. Markle, Fresno Calif., Mrs Mary M. Shupe, Montclair, N.J., Mrs Jessie B. Hawley, Keene, New Hampshire and Mrs. S. W. Jackson, Montclair. She is also survived by 10 granchildren and eight great grandchildren and by two brothers and one sister. Fenton C. Overholt, Sanger, Calif., J.W. Overholt of Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Emma F Markle of Connellsville.

Mrs. Markle was stricken on July 22 and had been unconscious for the seven days preceding her death.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday in the Presbyterian Church in West Newton with burial in the West Newton Cemetery to follow.
