Funeral service for Mr. Ottis Heath Statham, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be 10:00AM Thursday, June 21, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Charlie Hood officiating.

Interment in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Statham was born on Kings Ranch in Huges Springs, Texas on September 1, 1920 to parents Harry Lewis and Myriene.

He passed away at the Northeast LA War Veterans Home on June 19, 2012.

Mr. Statham was a member of the Start Baptist Church.

He was a first Lieutenant in the Air Force and later was the superintendent of a pipe line in Saudi Arabia for years.
Later he worked all over the United States and Alaska.
Mr. Statham loved his work and was an avid reader and loved his books.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Moretz; brothers, Harry, Raymond, Cooper, Rodney, and John; and baby sister, Faith.

He leaves behind his wife Lucille Earle Statham; son, Jerry Statham in North Carolina; brothers, Roy Statham and wife Sara in South Carolina and C.W. Statham and his wife Cynthia in Texas; and grandchildren, step children, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the staff, employees, and nurses at the Northeast LA War Veterans Home.
