Howard N. Williams
Centerville - Howard N. Williams of Centerville, died Thursday (June 30, 1983) in his home, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Centerville, on Oct. 23, 1910, he was a son of Fred and Maude Wood Williams. In 1935, he married the former Rubie Hatch, who survives.
A lifelong resident of Centerville, Mr. Williams was a former employee of Fillmore Central School, retiring in 1973.
Surviving besides his widow, are a son, Wayne Williams of Arcade; a daughter, Mrs. James (Darlene) Mowers of Centerville; three granddaughters, and a great-grandson; a brother, Glenn Williams of Rushford; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Evelyn) Benjamin and Mrs. Alva (Catherine) Graham, both of Belfast.
Friends are being received at Kopler Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Sunday (July 3, 1983) at 2 p.m. The Rev. Richard D. Webster, pastor of Fillmore United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
