OBITUARY
Charles Victor Anderson

Charles Victor Anderson was born in Norrköping, Sweden March 25, 1876 and was baptized in April the same year. He came here from Sweden in 1881, and settled in Webster Co. south west of Dayton. He was confirmed April 1st, 1894, at which time he became communicant member of this church (Emanuel Lutheran Church).

In 1916 he was married to Esther Burkgren, who passed away in 1918. In 1922 he was married to Esther Lind, which union was blessed with one child.

He passed away last Friday, Nov. 28th about 8:30 in the morning at an age of 71 years, 8 months and 3 days. He has suffered from heart ailment for many years, and this also was the cause of his death.

Surviving are his wife and their daughter, Norma. Also surviving are two brothers, Erick of Lanyon and Ernest of Dayton, and one sister, Mrs. Erick Hedberg of Gowrie. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death besides his father and mother.

Charles Anderson did not neglect his spiritual life. Time and gain he gave his family assurance that when the Lord would take him he was ready to go.

Peace to his memory.

A short service was held at the home. Theodore Lind of Boone sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." At the church service, Mr. Lind sang "There is a Gate that Stands Ajar" and "Hela Vagen Gar Han Med Mig." Swansons were in charge of the Sunday service and burial was made in Dayton Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Bloomquist, Ed Burkgren, Gust Ecklund, August Lundberg, Elmer Swanstrom and Arthur Youngdale.
