Sandra Faye Walls Marcom, age 74, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Sandra was born February 23, 1938 in Coalfield. She was a lifelong resident of this area.
She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church.
She enjoyed taking care of family, cooking and flower gardening.
Mrs. Marcom was preceded in death by husbands, James "Jake" Marcom and Jesse Kesterson, and by her mother, Anna Mae Walls.
She is survived by her father, Arnold Walls of Coalfield, by daughters; Tamara Jackson and husband, Lynn of Coalfield, Jill Craft and husband, Michael of Arab, AL, and Stanley Marcom and wife, Amanda of Knoxville, by grandchildren; Colt Jackson and wife, Mica of Kingston, Casey Jackson of Tacoma, WA, Alex Craft of Auburn, AL, Maggie Craft of Arab, AL and Emily Brener of Knoxville.
She is also survived by sisters; Brenda Jackson and husband, Bit of Coalfield, Melanie Walls of Oak Ridge, by brothers; Royce Walls and wife, Wanda of Oliver Springs, Shannon Walls and wife, Glenda of Oliver Springs and Don Walls and wife Yvonne of LaPort, IN, and by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2012, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Ronald Guthrie officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
