Edward J. Miller

Rev. Edward J. Miller, 90, Jefferson City, died March 8, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Nov. 15, 1910, in Centerville, Iowa, a son of Charles E. and Laura Rash Miller. He was married March 22, 1941, to Freda Craver Miller, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a full-time farmer until he was ordained as a Methodist minister in 1958. He retired in 1977 but continued to serve until 1983.
Other survivors include: one son, Johnny Miller, Tebbetts; one daughter, Joyce Murphy, Holts Summit; two sisters, Mabel Earles, Des Moines, Iowa, and Edith Agan, Numa, Iowa; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Bruce Bernard will officiate. Burial will be in Mokane Cemetery, Mokane.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to the Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Rev. Edward J. Miller, 90, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City, Mo.
He was born Nov. 15, 1910, in Centerville, the son of Charles and Laura (Rash) Miller.
He married Freda Craver March 22, 1941. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Joyce Murphy and her husband, Ron, of Holts Summit, Mo., and Johnny Miller and his wife, Janice, of Tebbetts, Mo.; two sisters, Mabel Earles of Des Moines and Edith Agan of Numa; two grandchildren; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters and two infant sisters.
He served in the Army during World War II. He farmed full time until ordained as a Methodist minister in 1958. He retired in 1977 but contented to serve until 1983.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo., with Rev. Bruce Bernard officiating. Interment was in Mokane Cemetery in Mokane, Mo.
Memorials may be given to the Methodist Church Food Pantry.
