Chris Edward Cherry Sr., age 64 of 1908 Myrtle Ave. Greenville, North Carolina died June 15, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. John Church of Christ, Washington, NC. Burial in Brown Hill Cemetery. He was native of Pitt County and attended the Pitt County Schools. He served in the US Army and retired from the Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. He is survived by one son, Chris Edward Cherry Jr. of the home; one daughter, LaShan Cherry Dupree of Hillside, NJ; three sisters, Bertha Brown of Plymouth, NC, Linda Baker of Greenville,NC and Allie Collier of Flint, MI; one brother Eddie Mack Cherry Jr. of Greenville, NC; seven grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Friday from 2-6 pm at Don Brown Funeral Home and from 10am-11am on Saturday at the church.
