Thomas Brough was born in April-June 1910 in Kidsgrove (Wolstanton district), Staffordshire, England. He was the son of Joseph Brough and Sarah Elizabeth Gallimore, and married Marion Dulson in 1932.

According to the "Commonwealth War Graves Commission" website (www.cwgc.org), "Thomas Brough" was a "Lance Sergeant" in the "Worcestershire Regiment" in World War II, and died on 4 July 1944 at about 38 years old. He is listed in the Banneville-La-Campagne War Cemetery in Calvados, France, and was the "Son of Joseph and Sarah Elizabeth Brough; husband of Marion Brough, of Church Lawton, Cheshire."
