She died at 8:56 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A native of Madionville, she was born Aug. 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Barbara Cayce and the Rev. Roger Washington. She was a retired machine operator and a member of Freeman Chapel CME Church.
Survivors include her husband, Herschel Cox; a son, Herschel Cox, Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Thomas Duffey, Russelville, William Washington Indianapolis and a sister, Agnes Mansfield, Indianapolis.
