Earl J.Kercher,80,of 912 ElHatco Drive,Cherokee Ranch,died Tuesday morning at 4:30 in Reading Hospital,where he had been a patient since Thursday. He also was known as "Moonie"His wife,Esther G.(Prutzman)Kercher,died Jan.14,1980. Born in Ontelaunee Township,he was a son of the late Ambrose and Lillie (Hart)Kercher. Kercher had been employed by St.Lawrence Carbonizing for many years before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the New Apostolic Church. Surviving are a daughter,Barbara J.,wife of Leroy Keller,Temple and a stepgrandchild,and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Four brothers:Harry,Elmer,and Amos,all of Reading;and Paul,West Lawn. Also two sisters:Catherine,wife of Andrew Winters,and Bertha,widow of Heber Snyder,both of Reading. The Lutz Funeral Home Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
