Dale D. Amundson, age 71, of Barron died Saturday, March 30, 1991 at Barron Memorial Medical Center in Barron.

He was born Feb. 11, 1920 at Dallas, Wis., to Evan and Christine (Peterson) Amundson. He was raised at Dallas where he attended school. He married Luella Neck Jan. 24, 1942 at Menomonie, Wis. He worked as a driver salesman or truck driver nearly all his life. He also worked for Jerome Foods Special Products Division for several years. He served in the United States Army during World War II, was a member of the Barron VFW and the First Lutheran Church in Barron.

Mr. Amundson is survived by his wife Luella of Barron; daughters Roberta Hunt of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Kathryn Bailey of Ojai, Cal.; two grandchildren; one brother Ralph Amundson of Pigeon Falls, Wis., and one sister Ardis Hanson of Eau Claire. He was preceded in death by one infant son, four brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the First Lutheran Church in Barron with Rev. James Sjolie and Rev. Chaitram Prashad officiating with burial at Wayside Cemetery. Graveside military rites accorded by the Barron VFW.
