Garry J. "Bear" Owens, 30, 6290 20th Way S, died Tuesday (Aug. 24, 1982). Mr. Owens came here 13 years ago from New Hartford, N.Y. He was a self-employed master mechanic; a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church; and a graduate of Lakewood High School, Pinellas Vocational Technical and St. Petersburg Technical schools, and General Motor School, Jacksonville. He is survived by his parents, Howard E. and Shirley Owens; a sister, Denise Owens; and a brother, Darren Owens, all of St. Petersburg; and paternal grandmother, Emma Howe of Utica, N.Y. Thomas J. Brett Funeral Home is in charge.
