"LOST IN THE MOUNTAINS.
A Timber Cutter on Pipestone Gets Off
the Trails and Not Heard of Since.

W. W. Barnes, of Whitehall, writes from Paul's ranch, at Pipestone Cross-
ing, to the Boulder Sentinel, giving the following information:
A man by the name of William Francisco, who was engaged in getting out fencing in the mountains near Pipestone creek, left his camp on the 2d inst. for the Half Way house, some six miles distant, on some business. He started home to his camp, about 3 o'clock in the afternoon, under the influence of liquor. Francisco had a man in his employ by the name of Mason Love, and as he did not come home that night Love waited until the following day, when he went in search of his employer, but found no tidings of him. On the following Sunday a party of seven started out to search for the missing man, but no trace of him could
be discovered, and he has not been heard of yet. Fears are entertained of his safety. He has a brother living in Gallatin County, Montana and also one in Butler, Bates, Missouri. He comes of a good family."

"The dead body of William Francisco was found on Saturday last within a few rods of his cabin on the north side of Bald Mountain. He was last seen about a month ago in an intoxicated condition, and when found was lying as if asleep, with his boots off and his coat rolled up and placed under his head. He was found by David McCall."
