JoAnn Lee Packer, 75, of Taylor died Saturday, April 9, 2011. She was the second of four children born to Carl Lee and Emma Huber Lee Oct. 11, 1935, in Mesa.

On Oct. 9, 1954, she married C.H. Packer, Jr. in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. In 1970, the family moved to Taylor. JoAnn loved her family and the people of Taylor. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. She was active in many church callings and loved serving the people of the Snowflake and Taylor Stakes. She especially enjoyed her callings with the Young Womens.? She attended White Salmon, Wash., North Phoenix and graduated from Glendale High School in 1953. She then attended Lambson Business College. She loved music, books and most of all crocheting.

She is survived by her loving Mr. Sweetheart, C.H. Packer, Jr.; children: Charles Howland Packer, III of Payson, Carylyn Packer of Taylor, Karl R. Packer of Midvale, Utah, Kevin L. Packer of Overgaard, John K. Packer of Yelm, Wash. and Craig L. Packer of Seattle, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Lee and Emma Huber Lee.

Viewing will be held at Silver Creek Mortuary, 745 Paper Mill Road in Taylor, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 14.

Funeral services will be held at the Centennial Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 800 N. Centennial Boulevard in Taylor, at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, with additional visitation beginning at 9 am.

Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
