Myredia Armstrong, age 79, of 9639 LaRue-Mount Victory Road, LaRue, Ohio, died Monday, July 17, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. at her residence. She was born Jan. 18, 1921, in McDowell, Ky, to the late John M. and Anna (Hall) Bentley. On Jan. 24. 1946, she married David W. Armstrong, and he died Sept. 21,1996. She is survived by three sons, Ronald David (Jackie) Armstrong of Marion, Rodney (Mary) Armstrong of LaRue and Roger England of Marion; two daughters, Jennifer (John) McCrary of LaRue, Shirley Mitchell of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle Newsome of Marion, Magdalene Little of Columbus. A brother, John Bentley Jr. and a sister, Corrine Bentley, are deceased. Mrs. Armstrong graduated from McDowell High School in Kentucky in 1938. She attended Alice Lloyd Caney College in Caney Creek, Ky, then taught school in Kentucky. She also was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20,2000, at 10 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery.
