Funeral Of Mrs. S. E. Boyden

Funeral services for Mrs. S.E. Boyden, of El Dorado, formerly of Emporia, who died Sunday at her home, were held Wednesday afternoon at Maplewood cemetery, where interment was made. Rev. J.M. Todd, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, conducted the services.

Mrs. Boyden's maiden name was Sarah M. Powell. She was born November 7, 1843 at Longton, Ill. In 1878, shortly after her marriage to Rev. J.G. Houston, she came to Emporia, where Mr. Houston died in 1878. She was married in 1880 to Mr. Boyden and moved to El Dorado.

Mrs. Boyden is survived by three children, Mrs. Louise Moorehead and Mrs. Emma Peck, of Wichita, and J.A. Houston, of DeGraff.
