Mrs. Dean was the widow of Pearl Dean, and spent practically her entire life in this community and had been an invalid for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Surviving are one son, Rolla; a foster daughter, Ellen Dean, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Todd, of Elwood, and Mrs. J. L. Crouse, of Alexandria; one brother, Sylvester Weith, of Summitville, and one grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Dean were held at the residence, northeast of Summitville on Monday. Burial was made in the Park cemetery at Fairmount.
