Roger Kraig Janke, of Saint Paul, MN, died Nov 24, 2008, in Maple Township, WI.

Roger was born, on Mar 19, 1937, in Laurium, MI, the son of William and Florence (Smith) Janke. He and Ruth M Luostari, were united in marriage, on Jul 9, 1960, in Poplar, WI. He was a General Motors parts salesman, for over 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. He passed away while doing what he loved, hunting the elusive whitetail deer. He was an active member of Randolph Heights Presbyterian Church, in Saint Paul. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved very much.

Survivors include: Ruth, his wife of 48 years; their four sons: Richard Janke and his wife, Renata, of Maplewood, MN; Robert Janke and his wife, Dawn, of Blaine, MN; Rodney Janke and his wife, Melody, of Apple Valley, MM and Russell Janke and his wife, Lois, of Wyoming, MN; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild. Survivors also include: his mother, Florence Janke, of Saint Paul; two sisters: Faith Gavin and her husband, Peter, of Richfield, MN and Donna Salzwedel and her husband, William, of Madison, WI; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his father, William; one brother, Keith, and one sister, Leola.

The visitation, at the Mountain Funeral Home in Ashland, Wisconsin, will begin at 12:00 noon, Friday, November 28, 2008, and continue until the hour of service.

Funeral services were be held Nov 28, 2008, at the Mountain Funeral Home in Ashland. Patricia Luostari officiated. The casket bearers were: Richard Janke, Robert Janke, Rodney Janke, Russel Janke, Scott Luostari and David Nelson.

Interment, in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Ashland, followed the service.
