Professional Hockey Player. A native of Cache Bay, Ontario, Smith played for teams in the AHA, NHL, USHL, AHL, OHA-B, M-Cup, OHAJR, TIHL, and the MOHL hockey leagues. Smith played for the St. Michael's Buzzers from 1933 to 1934, St. Michael's Majors from 1933 to 1935, Oshawa Chevies from 1935 to 1936, Oshawa G-Men from 1936 to 1939, Detroit Holzbaugh from 1939 to 1940, St. Louis Flyers from 1940 to 1942, 1944 to 1945, Buffalo Bisons from 1942 to 1943, Detroit Red Wings from 1943 to 1944, Indianapolis Capitols from 1943 to 1944, 1945 to 1946, and the Omaha Knights from 1945 to 1949. Smith was also a member of the USHL First All-Star Team in 1946, and was also the brother of hockey player, Dalton 'Nakina' Smith. He retired from hockey in 1949. Smith passed away at the age of 49 in Omaha, Nebraska, in January 1967.
